| Krieger Solutions, LLC's Approach to Training |
Krieger Solutions, LLC designs practical training - our focus is on how the information can be used on the job by each participant. We use active learning to effectively provide information and build skills. Self-assessment tools and small group activities illustrate and personalize the learning, showing participants how to apply it to their own situations.
Krieger Solutions designs training programs that address different learning styles, diverse backgrounds and differing levels of experience and expertise. People in our courses are truly "participants" in learning.
To maximize training benefits, we can help you assess training needs, design customized curricula, and plan complementary organizational development interventions. (Click here for more information on OD.)
Studies have shown that excessive note taking distracts from learning. Therefore, Krieger Solutions provides a comprehensive learner packet that captures most of the training content. Our workbooks also contain tools to help participants:
- focus on their individual learning goals
- deepen their understanding of the skills and strategies we present
- apply on-the-job what they have learned in class
To get the best return on your training investment, the training session should be a part of an integrated learning process. We provide low-cost strategies to maximize the learning benefit. (Click here for more information.)
Evaluation is another important part of any training program. Click here for information about our training evaluation services.

Training Examples:
In addition to providing single, stand alone training, we have provided more integrated programs including:
- Developing a supervisory training program that relies heavily on customized case studies to ensure the learning was closely connected to real-life situations of the participants.
- Designing a four-day comprehensive supervisory skills program that was delivered to all supervisors in the organization. Senior managers were given an executive summary of the program so they could support the transfer of learning from the workshop to the workplace.
- Provided training on conflict resolution and communication skills as part of a team building project. We also designed and facilitated the team building activities and coached the manager on how to facilitate lasting change on the job.
- Providing training on planning tools and techniques to support a strategic planning initiative.
- Incorporated skills training into staff and board retreats we facilitated.
- Designing an enhanced employee performance management system and then providing training in the skills staff needed to implement the system.
- Designed and delivered programs to teach key staff how to become effective learning coaches and trainers.
- Provided a train-the-trainer program on a technical skills topic where we taught teams of technical experts and skilled trainers to collaborate on the delivery of technical training.
